Detour Information For Bridge Closure West of Homer

It must be spring because roadwork has begun! The bridge on the west side of Homer is closed, but you can still get to Homer and The Sampler! If you are coming from Rushville, you will see a sign in Rushville on State Road 44 that reads "Road Closed." However, THE ROAD IS OPEN TO THE SAMPLER CABINET SHOP AND SHOWROOM!

If you are coming from the west (Shelbyville or I74) you will have to take a local run around - but it's an easy one! Again, the sign in Shelbyville will say road closed but just keep heading east toward Homer. Just before you get to Homer, turn north (left) on county road 750W. Drive north to county road 100S and turn east (right). Take that to county road 715W and turn south (right) and you will end up right beside the showroom! You might as well enjoy the drive through the country.

715W is also closed north of Homer. It will not affect the run around but it will mean you can't come across 715W from Arlington on U.S. 52. You are better off just continuing into Rushville on 52 and then heading west on 44.

Since you'll be used to driving Rush County roads by the time you reach Homer, we can give you a map and information brochure on our Rush County covered bridges. We'd love to have you spend the day exploring Rush County!

Furniture Production Schedule

We are currently working approximately 90 to 120 days from time of order until time of completion. We just received a beautiful shipment of cherry lumber and have started working on bedroom dressers and chests. Why not let us make a new piece of cherry furniture for you?

Refinishing and Repair Service

In addition to manufacturing cherry furniture, we offer a fine refinishing and repair service for all kinds of wood furniture. If you have an old piece that needs a little TLC, give us a call. Cost estimates can be given upon seeing the item. Our regular delivery charges apply if we need to make an in home estimate or pick the item up for refinishing work. Pictured are a set of mid-19th century chairs that were carefully rebuilt and restored for a Sampler customer.
